ABOUT TURNING POINT LIFE COACHING
If you want to get to know me better, to experience my coaching style, and to see if you feel like we are a good fit, please complete the contact form on the CONTACT page, to arrange for a complimentary coaching session.
My coaching style is highly collaborative, utilizing an array of established change and life coaching techniques, in combination with Positive Psychology principles. I am committed to ensuring that my coaching clients experience a sense of safety and acceptance, in order to more fully participate in the self- exploration. After 37 years of helping people, I believe I have cultivated and nourished a deep intuition that benefits the clients I work with now.
I received my Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1981, after completing my internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center (Strong Memorial Hospital). I then worked as an inpatient psychologist for 4 years, after which I accepted a position as Assistant Director of the Counseling Center of the Rochester Institute of Technology. I opened a full-time-private practice in 1987. I received life coach training from the Mentor Coach program, which specializes in training experienced psychotherapists to use Positive Psychology principles in the personal life coaching process.
As a life coach, psychologist and psychotherapist, I have been helping people reach their most important goals for 38 years. I have loved all the things I've been privileged to do in my work. Part of what I love about being a life coach is that it allows me to use the experience and skills I've developed over decades of being a psychologist and psychotherapist, to help empower an even broader range of people to reach for an even broader range of goals. It is such a joy to be part of the growth process that characterizes life coaching.
My name is Audrey Berger, Ph.D., and I am the coach at Turning Point Life Coaching. I am so pleased that you decided to visit the Turning Point Life Coaching website, and I hope you are finding it of value.
